Friends of Education (FOE), a non-governmental organization in Ghana, has presented educational items to nine schools in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region. The items which included 600 exercise books and 700 pencils and eraser
s is to support children in the region and ensure they have a smooth education.
The schools that received the items were Don Theobold basic school, St. Augustine Primary school (Buya), Kabonwule D/A Primary, Katiejeli E.P Primary school and Mbowura D/A Primary School. Others were Katiejeli-Damanko Primary school, Jaman Nkwanta-Buya Winners Primary and Buya Destiny JHS, Buya D/A Primary B.
Led by Mr. Frank Ijon Bitafir, Friends of Education’s mission is to help ensure quality education in rural Ghana with a focus on the three northern regions by regularly providing educational materials and support to schools.
The school children expressed their gratitude to FOE and called on other organizations to come to their aid. The three-member team from FOE that made the donation also called on donors to support the activities of FOE.
