SONA 2019:Govt to construct ten new vocational and technical institutes
President Akufo-Addo delivering the 2019 State of the Nation Address (SONA 2019) as part of effort bring sound education to all the government is on the verge of constructing ten new Technical and Vocational Institutes.
This move the President believes will help young people in the Country to acquire skill so they reach their full potential.

“Poverty should not be an excuse for any Ghanaian child not to reach their potential. Young people ought to have options on their career paths so construction of 10 new TVET centres will take place this year”
“This will help Ghanaian youth to acquire skills to put them at par with their peers in other part of the world.”

“We are sparing any effort to make education in Ghana of the best quality and fit for the 21st century”
The Ghanaian educational system has been criticised to be more theoretical than practicals and this move, if implemented by the government, will enable more young people to acquire skills to make a living.
