National Youth Organizer of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B has rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians for his clash with Sammy Gyamfi who is the Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Nana B in a video which has gone viral on social media is seen assaulting Sammy Gyamfi in the studios of Accra based radio station, Asempa FM on Friday, January 1, 2019.
The alleged assault occurred during the station’s political talk show, Ekosii sen.
t is unclear what led to Nana B attacking Sammy Gyamfi but reports say Gyamfi was blasting the NPP for the violence recorded at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency by-election when he incurred the anger of Nana B.
The youth wing of NDC yesterday held a press conference calling the Police Service to arrest Nana B.
Nana B has now come out and apologised to the listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians in general.
The NPP National Youth Organizers in a statement released today said: ” I am upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded.”
“I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.

APOLOGY TO ASEMPA FM LISTENERS AND GHANAIANS
I refer to the events which took place yesterday on Asempa FM’s Political Talk Show, ‘Ekosisen’.
Regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC’s National Communications Director on the show which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded.
I wish to assure all that, I remain committed to decent, issue-based discourse on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated.
I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.
