Wizkid has beaten Sonebwoy to win the ‘Best International Act – Africa’ category of the BET Awards.

This is the second time Ghanaian dance hall superstar, Stonebwoy  has lost  at the BET Awards as Nigeria’s Wizkid was announced the winner of the ‘Best International Act – Africa’ at the 2017 edition of the award scheme.

Even though the main award ceremony, being held in Los Angeles, United States, the winners in some categories including the ‘Best International Act – Africa’ are announced prior to the event.

The Best International Act award is handed at a private ceremony which seeks to recognize artistes from Africa and Europe, and is held the night before the main event.
