‘Salary Arrears Victims’ petition president over unpaid salaries

A group of teachers in Ghana by name Salary Arrears Victims Ghana is calling on government to pay attention to teachers who have been denied their salaries for months.

In a petition dated August 3 and signed by the groups’s President, Secretary and Organiser, they indicated that since they have been employed lefitimately, they deserve to be paid what is due them.

“It is for teachers across the country. It comprises of year badges between 2012 and 2017 and the salary arrears ranges from four months to two years,” Agbeve Caesar, the president of the group confirmed to Trends.com.gh

They also expressed how much they are filled with grief because of the kind of treatment the government is taking them through.

The teachers have giving government thirty days to validate their staff IDs to make the process fair.
